FDIC Deposit Coverage

Planters Bank provides Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) coverage to Personal and Business customers with deposits at the bank. Qualifying deposits include the following:

• Checking Accounts
• Savings Accounts
• Money Market Deposit Accounts (MMDAs)
• Time deposits such as Certificates of Deposit (CDs)
• Cashier’s checks and other official items issued by a bank

The FDIC does not cover every type of account and/or deposit for individuals and businesses, including: investments in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds; safe deposit boxes; life insurance products; treasury bills or bonds; and losses that result from theft.
