Land & Legacy

Agricultural Lending Solutions

Agriculture is more than an operation. It’s the land you work, the livelihood you’ve built, and something you hope to carry forward. At Planters Bank, we understand that no two farms or agricultural businesses have the same needs.

Whether you’re purchasing land or equipment, covering seasonal expenses, refinancing existing debt or planning your next step, we’ll work with you to find financing that makes sense for your operation today and where you want it to go.

Farm & Land Financing

The right piece of land can shape what’s possible for your operation for years to come. Whether you’re purchasing farmland, adding acreage or refinancing an existing agricultural property, we’ll help you find financing that fits your plans and cash flow.

Depending on the property and your needs, options may include direct bank financing or longer-term financing through one of our secondary-market programs.

Lines of Credit

Operating expenses don’t always come due at the same time your income comes in. Seed, fertilizer, feed, livestock, fuel, labor, repairs and other costs can add up throughout the season.

An agricultural line of credit gives you access to working capital when you need it. Depending on your needs and eligibility, financing may be available through a direct operating line or an FSA-guaranteed loan. When appropriate, repayment can also be structured around the seasonal cash flow of your operation.

Equipment, Buildings & Improvements

Keeping an operation running often means investing in the equipment and infrastructure behind it. Financing and leasing options may be available for tractors and other farm equipment, grain bins, storage facilities, agricultural buildings, property improvements and other specialized assets.

Depending on the project, we’ll help you determine whether a traditional loan, equipment lease or another financing option makes the most sense for your operation.

Put Your Equity to Work

The equity you’ve built in your land can be a valuable resource when a new need or opportunity comes up. It may help you purchase equipment, cover operating expenses, make improvements, refinance debt or expand your operation.

Talk with us about what you’re planning, and we’ll help you decide if using your equity makes sense.

More Ways to Finance Agriculture

Not every agricultural need fits a traditional loan. Land & Legacy offers access to additional financing programs that may provide more options for qualifying farms, ranches and agricultural businesses.

Secondary-Market Financing

For eligible agricultural real estate, secondary-market financing may provide longer terms and fixed- or adjustable-rate options. These programs may be used for land purchases, refinancing, expansion and property improvements.

FSA-Guaranteed Loans

FSA-guaranteed loans may help eligible farmers and ranchers finance land, production expenses and other agricultural needs. These loans are made through Planters Bank with a portion guaranteed by the USDA Farm Service Agency.

Participation and Combined Financing

Larger or more complex requests may require more than one financing source. Participation loans and combined financing structures may provide additional flexibility when a traditional loan does not cover the full need.

Repayment That Fits Your Operation

Depending on the loan and your operation’s cash flow, repayment may be structured monthly, seasonally, semiannually or annually.

More Than Financing

Land & Legacy is about more than a loan. It’s about having a bank that takes the time to understand your operation, what you’re working toward and how your needs may change along the way.
