September 30 - October 7, 2022 - Canyon Country (featuring Arizona & Utah)

Our group will fly from Nashville to Scottsdale, AZ where our tour begins. The next day, we’ll travel to Sedona and soak in the imaginative atmosphere and colorful vistas while browsing the arts and crafts shops of the marketplace. We will admire Oak Creek Canyon where the rock formations seem to change hue with every turn in the road! Later, we will travel through the spectacular Kaibab Nat’l Forest before reaching the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. On Day 3, we will take time to explore the Grand Canyon. “Grand” is not a strong enough word for today! Theodore Roosevelt once said, “This is one of the great sights which every American, if he can travel at all, must see.” We will take in breathtaking views as we travel along East Rim Drive. Later, a short ride brings us to Cameron Trading Post. For nearly a century, the post has acted as a haven for travelers, traders and explorers. Continue north through mesa-studded desert before arriving at our home for the next two evenings—a lovely hotel overlooking the stunning blue waters of Lake Powell. Later, we will enjoy dinner at Lake Powell and some time at leisure. On Day 4, we will begin our day with an invigorating breakfast cruise along lovely Lake Powell. Then, it’s your choice! Travel through the territory of the Navajo nation and arrive n Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, a sacred Navajo land featuring iconic sandstone spires; enjoy a fascinating tour, narrated by a Navajo tribe member, and a stop at a Hogan, a traditional Navajo hut -OR- you may take a canyon adventure cruise through the wondrous geologic formations of the Navajo and Antelope Canyons. On Day 5, Saturday, we will travel to spectacular Bryce Canyon National Park, famous for its Hoodoos. These rock formations, created over thousands of years by wind and water, carry natural orange and red hues, the product of iron oxidizing within the rock. Enjoy a walk along the Sunset Point to Sunrise Point Rim Trail. Day 6, we will take a full day to explore Utah’s first national park, Zion…few places on earth match the beauty of Zion National Park’s red and white sandstone cliffs! Climb aboard Zion’s open-air tram and wind your way alongside the Virgin River and through the 2,400 foot deep, one-half-mile wide Zion Canyon. This afternoon, it’s Your Choice! Visit the Zion Human History Museum to learn more about the park – OR- continue to enjoy time in the great outdoors exploring the park independently. On Day 7, we will trade nature’s beauty for the lights of the Vegas Strip. This four-mile stretch of road features neon lit resorts and round-the-clock action. On Day 8, our tour ends and we will depart for home with amazing memories of our journey. There are 10 meals (6 breakfasts and 4 dinners) included in the price.

You are invited to join Planters Bank Passport 50 for a holiday motor coach trip to Franklin, TN for shopping and “lunch on your own” in the historic downtown on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Cost for this day trip is $65 per person and due upon reservation. (Hurry…space is limited since we avoid crowding the bus!) Here is our itinerary for the day:

8:30 a.m. - Depart Park Plaza Shopping Center, 2525 Ft. Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville (south end by Planet Fitness and behind the Auto Wash) Directly across from McDonald’s.
10:00 a.m. (Approximately) - Arrive Franklin, TN
**Upon our arrival, we will be met by a representative of the Franklin Visitors Center who will provide us with information about the shops and available lunch venues in downtown Franklin.
2:00 p.m. - Meet and board the motor coach for a visit to “The Factory” (a historic building in Franklin containing more shops and eateries)
4:00 p.m. (Approximately) - Depart Franklin
5:00 – 5:30 p.m. - Approximate arrival back to Hopkinsville

6 Days 8 Meals - Discover why Santa Fe embraces “The City Different” moniker on this Southwestern getaway. Kick off your journey with a locally guided walking tour through the Santa Fe Plaza, the historic heart of the city where you’ll stop at some of the city’s landmark sites like the Santa Fe Indian Market, Palace of the Governors, and Loretto Chapel. Try your hand at making tamales at the Santa Fe School of Cooking. Uncover the sculpted canyons and cliff dwellings once inhabited by the Pueblo Indians at Bandelier National Monument.
